Our Minister of Music

Glenn Allen Nixon is a native of Fort Worth, Texas, with over 25 years of experience, in Gospel Music Ministry. He is a graduate of O.D. Wyatt High School, home of the nationally acclaimed "Singing Chaparrals, and Dallas Christian College, earning Bachelor Degrees in Ministry and Leadership, and Music and pursuing a Master’s Degree at Texas Christian University.

Mr. Nixon is also a noted playwright. He wrote and produced the Gospel production "According to John", first performed at the Pilgrim Valley Baptist Church in 1997 and again July 24, 2000 at Will Rogers Auditorium, with the Texas State Congress of Christian Workers Mass Choir.

Mr. Nixon served as an educator for 11 years in the Fort Worth I.S.D. teaching music at DeZavala and David K. Sellars Elementary where he organized choirs and a bell choir. He has worked with such artist as Minister Kirk Franklin, V. Michael McKay, Glenn Burliegh, Minister Keith Pringle, Jewell Kelly, Dr. Vernard Johnson, and many others.

Glenn recently traveled to Japan the summer of 2009, where he accompanied a thirty voice choir, which presented eight concerts from Fukouka, to Nagasaki, and ending in Tokyo. He traveled to Germany (Grafenwhor, Vilsek, Amburg, Hoenfeld throughout the United States and) conducting music workshops. He has recorded with the Dallas/Fort Worth massed choir recording his songs " Remember Me " and the Corinth Baptist Church Young Adult Choir recording " Revelation 3:20"; the Heaven 97 massed choir, Saint John Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, Texas and “Live at Midnight Choir” at the Samaria Baptist Church.

Glenn has accompanied the Gospel Music Workshop of America Massed choir, presented music in the New Music Seminar and the Women's Choir at the G.M.W.A. He serves as the assistant instructor for the “Dimensions of Christian Leadership” class at the G.M.W.A. He currently serves as Assistant Minister of Music for the Dallas Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America and former Minister of Music for the Fort Worth Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America.  He has performed with the world acclaimed Texas Christian University Orchestra, the Boys Choir of Harlem and on the television show Good Morning Texas, with the O. D. Wyatt High School Gospel Choir.

He has served as Director and Co-Director of the Texas State Congress of Christian Workers massed Choir, Director of the Saint John Landmark District Congress Choir, Co- Director of the National Baptist Convention of America Congress Youth Choir, guest director for the Texas Massed Choir, and most recently as the State Minister of Music for the North Texas Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.

Glenn currently serves as Minister of Music at the Macedonia Baptist Church and Job Developer with the Fort Worth Housing Authority.

One of his favorite scriptures is James 2:20 " faith without works is dead."
